George P. Georgaklis heads the real estate department at Georgaklis & Mallas PLLC. He received a B.S. in Economics from NewYork University’s Stern School of Business in 1992 and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1995. He was admitted to the NewJersey State Bar in 1995 and the New York State Bar in 1996. He was also admitted to the United States District Courts for theSouthern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York in 2001. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate attorney ata NYC law firm representing financial institutions, investment banks, commercial and savings banks, insurance companies anddevelopers. He also served as vice president and general counsel to several private construction firms involved in public constructionprojects in New York and Washington DC areas. In 1999, Mr. Georgaklis opened his own law office with a focus of real estatetransactional matters.

Mr. Georgaklis has handled both commercial and residential property matters on behalf of banks and other financial institutions, aswell as individual clients. These matters include: acquisitions and sales of real properties, such as office buildings, multi-families,condominiums, co-operative units, single-family homes, townhouses and apartment buildings throughout New York; refinancing ofcommercial and residential purchase mortgage loans; sale-leaseback and mortgaged-back securitized transactions; purchase andsale of mortgage loans on the secondary market; and negotiation of lease agreements (both for tenants and landlords) of office,retail and commercial spaces. The firm has extensive experience in mortgage financing transactions representing institutionallenders. He has represented numerous banks in mortgage loan and other matter.

Mr. Georgaklis has been approved to close mortgage loans for various lenders, both wholesale and retail, such as Citibank,Investors Bank, Citizens Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Santander Bank, Carnegie Mortgage LLC/ Icon Mortgage, Bank of America,Ally Bank, Flagstar Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Nationstar, Ally Bank/GMAC, Mortgage World Bankers, Inc. and others.
